
Dr. Carmen Saituma Cagiza is a researcher and practitioner in development economics and finance. Her expertise spans sustainable development, investment policy, and sustainable finance. She holds a PhD in Economic Development (University of Southern Mississippi), an MSc in Finance and Economics (West Texas A&M University), an MBA (Keller Graduate School of Management), and a BSc in Telecommunications Engineering (Independent University of Angola).
She has published in the Journal of Economics and International Finance and the African Development Finance Journal, with forthcoming work on “AI adoption for sustainable development in Africa” under review at Information Technology for Development, and “AI-Powered Advisory Platforms for Sustainable Marketing Innovation in SMEs” under review at Sustainability.
Beyond academia, she is Co-Founder & CEO of Allusa Investment Holdings (Texas), where she leads the development of an AI-powered advisory platform for SMEs (U.S. patent filed). She has served at Capital One Bank (Texas), Angola’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations (New York), Angola Telecom (Luanda), and development NGOs, bridging policy and practice to advance equitable growth across Africa through innovative finance and tech.

Professor Joseph Magali is an Associate Professor from the Faculty of Business Management at the Open University of Tanzania. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Financial Management) from Dongbei University of Financial Economics in China. He also has an MBA in Marketing from the Open University of Tanzania and a B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness from Sokoine University of Agriculture. With over 40 scholarly articles, his work covers finance, marketing, and management. Prof. Magali’s research has significantly contributed to microfinance, financial economics, customer relationship marketing, and open and distance learning.
