THEME : “Impactful Research and Innovation in a Dynamic Business Environment”
“Creating new knowledge, insight, and innovations for sustainable enterprises and communities”
Concept note: Research is now recognized as the secret weapon in changing the competitive landscape in both public and private sectors, and at global and national levels. The amount of money going to research and development (R&D), measured as a percentage of GDP or sales is a clear indicator of the rising importance of research and its twin sister development. Impactful research leads to innovations which are commercialized leading to new firms or improvement in the existing firms. One of the big questions is how impactful that research & innovation is beyond research papers, their citations and patents. Impact is best espoused by transforming societies through jobs and higher living standards. Government sees the impact of research and innovation through better access to quality services, while the private sector the impact is seen through higher profits. The conference focus is on the impact of research in business through innovations. Other scholars can analyze the impact in other sectors. The conference is blended, both physical and online. In addition, we bring the corporate world, not for profit, informal sector, academia and other stakeholders to share ideas, innovations and help solve societal problems and exploit opportunities. We welcome papers, presentations, posters, TED talks, research proposals, book chapters, innovations or concepts in “the kitchen” and exhibitions that focus on the following key themes;
